Uncover Your Joy is a revolution. We’re transforming personal development practices so they’re inclusive and supportive for everyone living with a mental illness. This is the foundation of all our work.
This is also a safe space for anyone with a marginalized identity. As the founder, I’m a gender non-conforming and disabled individual, and I’m passionate about serving under-privileged groups. When you support Uncover Your Joy, you’re supporting all of the people we work with too.
And, of course, if there is anything I can do to make my website, practice, or blog more accessible, or if you have a comment about inclusivity, please email me directly at [email protected] I’m more than willing to listen, change, and learn!
Every person has a dream, every person wants happiness and joy to be the guiding forces in their lives. Unfortunately, systemic injustices made it so many people have steeper hills to climb, more challenges to face, and often cannot afford the resources (like coaching) to help them.
This is unfair, to have healing spaces excluded from the communities who need it most, so I’m doing what I can to change this. And you can help me.
15% of every purchase supports coaching via scholarship for a marginalized person. Meaning, it is completely free for six months for this individual.
I am a firm believer in the ripple effect. One changed person has the power to change the world, and giving one person six months of intense coaching mentorship has the potential to literally turn their life around. When they are living their purpose, they will be in the best place of empowerment to change the world too. Your gift will keep on giving.

New York City, USA
Time and time again throughout their life, Kyo has demonstrated a resilience and perseverance rarely seen in humankind. As a black, queer, non-binary individual, and a survivor of childhood sexual and emotional abuse, they have faced incredible hardships on behalf of society and humanity, yet maintain a desire to live authentically and help others even through all of this.
Kyo has always lived in low-income neighborhoods and is currently facing depression and knows that coaching will go beyond just helping them cope and into the realm of truly healing, so their authentic self can awaken and changed the world as they intend to.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and an upcoming Master’s in Forensic Mental Health Counseling, Kyo intends to work with LGBTQ+ survivors of abuse as a therapist. They are currently an “extern” at a program that helps incarcerated individuals recover, primarily from mental illness and substance abuse.
Kyo is just about to begin their career and their heart is pushing them towards healing members of society who are too often neglected. In order to live this purpose fully, Kyo seeks the freedom and growth that can come from six full months of coaching.
